New Voters
Are you on the electoral registerfor your area?
If you need to register as a new voter or to change your vote to a new address you need to complete a voters registration form. The election register in Meath is constantly changing as people come to live in the area and young people reach voting age (18 years). Forms are available from your local Garda Station, post office and library.

Who is entitled to vote?
You must be at least 18 years of age on the day the Register comes into force - 15th February of each year - you also must be resident at the address at which you wish to be registered on 1st September.
Irish citizens may vote at all elections.
Non-EU citizens may vote at Local elections only.
British citizens may vote at Dáil, European and Local elections only.
Other EU citizens may vote at European and Local elections only.
The closing date for the Supplement is 14 days prior to the date of election.
